En BuscaPR no se recoge ninguna información personal tal como su nombre, dirección, número de teléfono, o dirección de E-mail. Sin embargo, el webserver registra la información siguiente de la conexión: 1) la dirección del IP de su Proveedor de Internet, 2) la fecha y la hora de su conexión, 3) el documento o la imagen que fué vista, 4) su tipo de Navegador (es decir Netscape o Internet Explorer), 5) su tipo de sistema operativo (es decir Windows XP o MacOS), 6) la página o el sitio que le refirieron a BuscaPR, y 7) las palabras buscadas. Además usamos de una galleta (un "cookie") que recoge datos anónimos del tráfico. La información de nuestros registros del webserver se agrega y se analiza para asistirnos en la determinación de: 1) tráfico total a nuestro website, 2) documentos y palabras populares buscadas, y 3) compatibilidad del website con diversas versiones de los navegadores, 4) origen de las visitas.
